Finally

Well, let's see what's happened since I last posted... Hmm.... My promotion was confirmed, so I should be making slightly more than I used to. Which is a good thing as it'll look good on a resume and the pay increase will help pay for the new house. The only things left on the house is to get the underwriting finished up, work out a solution to the chimney/roof issues, and move. I have the cable guy coming on Friday to the new place to get set up, but the official move should be Saturday. Probably going to worry about getting Kari moved in, since she has to be gone by months end. Hopefully will get my stuff that won't fit in the car over there too, then I can kinda move a little more leisurely. Russ should be back sometime this week, to move some more stuff out and get the place a little more show-able. So, i'm pretty stoked about the new house, it should be pretty sweet, it'll definitely be a little underfurnished at first, but that'll get fixed over time. Well, I think thats most everything, so I'll hopefully update again within a reasonable amount of time.

Sweet!

This is why I get out of bed in the morning, in the hopes to see something like that.

Pretty quiet weekend, got some storage containers to start packing up, but haven't really started that. I did file (electronically) my taxes, Fed's lookin' good, State....well I don't have to pay. Kari got stuck in New York last night, so I'm hoping she gets to come back soon, especially since she doesn't have to leave for Texas this week. Right now I think we're just waiting on the appraisal and inspection before closing on the house.

Once again I stayed up too late last night, so I'm kinda draggin' today.

Finally!

Well, finally got something to put in this silly thing. Ok, a collection of things to put in here. From reading Burrito Eaters blog, we went up to Green Bay for some cards and whatnot. We got diverted around a pretty nasty accident. We played cards while we waited for another guy to get there, then we moved on to some Texas Hold 'Em. I lost about $5 before the hold 'em, but ended up winning the tourny, so that was able to support a couple crunchwrap supremes on the way home. Big Prop's to Burrito Eater for driving!!

Prior to all this fun in Green Bay, Kari and I looked at a house in Verona that we really both liked. It's close to her work, looks like no immediate fixin's to be done, and a fenced in back yard. Tuesday we put in an offer, and we got the counter-offer yesterday. Kari countered the counter and yes indeed folks, Riz & Kari are getting a house. I think most of you have seen it, if not I can e-mail you the link upon request.

Hmmm.....Not really much else, just the big news of being a homeowner. We still have to go through the closing and whatnot, but it should just be a matter of time.
