Could it be?

Did Riz just update twice within a reasonable amount of time?? Crazy! Well, i'm expecting to see a post on Burrito Eater's blog about the costume party. This weekend was pretty quiet for me. It was Kari's birthday yesterday, so on Saturday a bunch of her friends came to the house and they all made dinner. I got to meet her good friend Rebecca, who lives in New York, everyone else I had previously met. All told, there were about eight or so of Kari's friends and that was just too much crazy for one guy to handle, so I hid in the basement for most of it. However they did make some kick-ass fajita's, which will end up being a race to the leftovers! As housewarming gift/birthday gifts we got a set of pilsner glasses, so we can be classy when drinking the high life (as if drinking the high life wasn't classy enough). Kari got a poker table top so I think we might have to have a little poker tourny of our own.

And speaking of poker, I'm doing alright for this segment of Badger Poker, right now I'm about 10 points out of qualifing for the final tournament. In the final tournament you can win tickets to vegas. Not that I really think I'll win, but lately I've just been into playing poker. So, I'm hoping to play tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday. And of course there's the big tourney this Friday, so hopefully I'll have met my poker quota.

Let's see, the couches come to the Brookfield store on Thursday, I think we're going to bribe Kari's brother to drive his truck and trailer out there to haul it all back. Really excited about the couch/loveseat/recliner.

Well, work calls, and I gotta answer it. I'll talk to y'all later!

Finally....

...the Riz has posted a blog update. Man it's been a while and stuff has been happening to update people with (kinda). I don't mind missing updates if my day was "got up, went to work, came home." Hmm... Well nearest and dearest to me, Volleyball has finally been decided on and that should in a month, got a coaches meeting next week. Really excited to be playing volleyball with good friends, it's like a two for one special, but then you get a third free somehow.

Let's see, Kari and I purchased a couch/loveseat/recliner set from JC Penny, and for future reference the JC Penney's at the West Towne Mall does *not* have any furniture there, it's not even on the second floor. So, it's actually being delivered to the Brookfield store on Thursday (or thats when we can pick it up). It's going to be a mircosuede fiber. Really excited for that, then our basement will really come together, as right now it's just a pappazan (sp?) for the only seating arrangements. We need a kitchen table, so we can take the table in the kitchen and use that for cards downstairs. On a basement note, it looks like there might be an open pipe to get a bathroom down there, which would really mean I wouldn't ever have to leave the basement. Look for an invite to the new house early April, when I might actually be completely unpacked!

Well, work has been crazy busy, probably the busiest I've ever been here. Working on our May installation of software, and I've got 8 projects for that, plus supporting the programs that are due to go in this month, with all the other documentation that goes with it.......sheesh, I'm swamped. And of course if I don't update from work, I don't update at all, I just never feel like blogging from home.

What else?? I'm trying to get my family out here for Christmas, right now it's kinda hinging on if my little sister can get a new job and time off for Christmas. She works for Fred Meyer (think super wal mart but smaller) and she said that the likelyhood of getting time off in Nov/Dec is small. They have to work on Christmas day, I'm thinking they don't get any holiday completely off. So, if all works out you may get to meet my mom and sisters... special huh?

On an offbeat note, I was asked if I'd be up for performing a wedding ceremony. No, I don't have the talent to be the Wedding Singer, but to actually wed some good friends. At first I thought this was a joke, but it turns out it's less of a joke then I had previously thought. So, I plan on using April to become legally able to marry people in the state of Wisconsin. And then at least it would be an option, really kinda honored by the thought.

Hmmm..... enjoy the new Steak Grilled Burrito by Taco Johns, it's kinda expensive but really you shouldn't need more than one.

Love & Peace!

So little time....

Howdy y'all!!

Boy it's been a while. Sorry I haven't been a better blogger, busy, busy. First off, we're moved into the new house in Verona. We did that starting Friday afternoon and going on thru Sunday. I ended up not feeling so well come Monday, so I didn't go into work that day. The house is awesome, there's a vent in the main bathroom and that makes for a warm bathroom early in the morning and that's a good thing. Still a lot of little things to do to put "our" touch in the place. One of the first things to be done is to replace the toilet seat in the main bathroom. It's one of those foamish ones, that gives a few inches when you sit. So, anyway, I'm kind of holding of on unpacking too much, just the necessities. We sign on Friday (well Kari will) so after that I'll feel better about unpacking then, kinda silly but that's me.

So, you're probably all wondering when you're coming over? I know Kari and I want to have people over, but it's still a little underfurnished/cluttered yet. Plus we're looking for games that we can totally dominate at. Seriously though, I'm hoping to throw something down this month.

Hmm....works been busy as all get out, which is why you didn't see an update yesterday, and the short one here today. I'm trying to get this done before I head to lunch and unfortunately, I'm hungry.

I got a membership to Sam's Club and that place is the bomb!! I don't see how people shop anywhere else. Well, actually I do, but it's got some sweet deals.

On a kinda cool note, our local grocery store apparently has the clerks wheel out your groceries to your car. Although, I'm guessing that's only if you have more than two bags, or maybe the bags are heavy, kind of a nice touch.

On a Riz note, Monty's in Verona is a bar & grill, they serve the one pound burger, which is like two hamburgers stacked with a third patty inbetween the buns. Actually tastey, reviews on the philly cheesesteak were good, but have yet to try for myself. All of this is good as it's pretty much a couple blocks from our place and looks to be a pretty good place.

Well sorry this is short, if you have specific questions for the Riz, post here and I'll holla at you. Also, if I remember more I'll post again....

...but my belly is grumbling.....so off I go..
